7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung

Every Porsche Macan is equipped with a 7-speed Doppelkupplung transmission (PDK). This unique transmission, originally designed by Porsche solely for racing applications, helps significantly advance the sport nature of this compact SUV. Using two clutches and what amounts to two partially independent gearboxes, the PDK can change gears in milliseconds. It already knows what gear is coming up next and it goes through the effort of pre-selecting it. This not only gives the Macan much more accelerating prowess, it also saves on fuel.

Adjustable Air Suspension

With an optional adjustable air suspension, the Macan can provide a wonderful and dynamic ride. It will lower itself down to create a better aerodynamic profile when cruising, and it can be raised to tackle any off-road challenges that can come its way. All of this comes at the touch of a button. The back-end can even be lowered for easier loading and unloading, and this can be easily accomplished with a button in the luggage compartment. Porsche knows how to design a performance vehicle, but they also know how to design a car with the driver in mind.

Porsche Car Connect

Porsche has found a way to bring the driver even closer to the car with the Macan and Porsche Car Connect (PCC). The Macan can be accessed simply through the PCC app on a smart phone. Information such as current location and remote status check on windows, doors, hood, and luggage compartment can all be easily retrieved. Vast amounts of driving data is also available at the touch of a finger. This is the kind of relationship that everyone wants with their vehicle, and Porsche has made it possible.
